Rebozo closing ritual

An ancient ritual for a new beginning

The rebozo closing ritual, also known as 'closing of the bones', is an ancient ritual from Mexico. Using a long woven cloth (the rebozo), your body is gently wrapped and rocked. From head to toe, the joints and bones are, in a sense, 'closed' after the opening movement that birth requires.

But it's more than a physical ritual. It's also an emotional and spiritual transition: from pregnant woman to mother, from the old into the new. A moment to reflect on everything you've done, carried, and given birth to.

The ritual takes place at your home, in complete calm. Sabrina guides you through the different steps: warming compresses, massage with warm oil, wrapping with the rebozo, and a moment of quiet presence.

What it can bring you

Physical recovery

The wrapping supports the closing of the pelvis and uterus. Many women experience less pelvic discomfort afterward, and a deeper sense of physical calm.

Emotional processing

Birth is an intense experience, whatever happened. The ritual offers room to feel, acknowledge, and let go of that experience.

Being seen and honored

In daily life after a birth, everything quickly revolves around the baby. This ritual is entirely for you: your strength, your transition, your story.

What you need to bring

Nothing. Sabrina brings everything: the rebozo, herbal tea, warm compresses, and oil. You just provide a calm space and a bit of time for yourself.
